Day 1: Da Lat – Lak Lake
After visiting the highlights of the city such as: Crazy House, Da Lat Center market, Dragon Pagoda, we would head for the countryside to explore the rural life of the farmers who cultivate on their land such things as flowers, coffees, vegetables, then we would stop for a break at weasel coffee farm and try a cup of weasel coffee and enjoy the lush green scenery surround.
Getting on the bike then roll on rural roads, seeing the daily life of local people on the back seat of bike then stop at traditional processing silk factory, experience how they process nature-silk from cocoons, stop at the elephant water falls nearby and explore it. Keep going on the countryside roads, take a break in the middle of jungle road and enjoy the breath-taking, stop for lunch with Viet’s cuisine.
Lak Lake will be a place where you stay overnight, you can choose to stay at a home stay with locals or in the hotel that faces the natural lake.
Day 2: Lak Lake – Dray Sap water falls – Buon Ma Thuot.
Leaving Lak Lake for Buon Me Thuot City after discover the M’nong hill-tribe village and the daily life of the locals, doing an elephant ride to explore the area on elephant back or take a dug- out boat around the lake to have some great shots of the fishermen or the scenery around, stop over at the rice fields along the road to experience to harvest the rice with M’nong hill tribes, climb up to the top of the “Elephant Rock” to enjoy the panoramic view of this area.
Heading to Dray Sap fall (the biggest water falls in Central Highlands) we’ll swim in the middle of nature rivers, do water massage or jump off from the top of water falls. Then going back to City or stay in the long house (the traditional house of Ede hill tribe group).
Day 3: Buon Ma Thuot – Kontum via Pleiku.
Today, we would visit some famous places of BMT such as: Ethnic museum, the city’s liberation monument, local market then head to Pleiku on old Ho Chi Minh highway. Some hand-make places of local people like: drum making, flip flop making, rice paper or incense making as well as pepper plantations, rubber plantations are our main visit. Then we head to “Sea Lake”- a volcanic crater that stopped million years ago, a great place to take some good photos for your trip. Sea Lake is also considered the ‘Eyes of Pleiku’. We’d then continue traveling to Kontum where we could visit old wooden-church, orphanages, and especially the Kon Ktu village where you see the Banar’s Rong house and learn their traditions and culture by observing their customs and daily life. We would then stay overnight in Kontum.
Day 4: Kontum – Kham Duc
Continue traveling on the Ho Chi Minh trail to visit the well-known places relate to Vietnam War such as: Dakto victory monument, Phoenix Airport and Charlie hill to know more about the war. You’ll find out more about the different cultures of Gie Trieng, K’tu by go cross small suspension bridge to visit their villages, admire the jungle along Ho Chi Minh road, take a break and walk on the real Ho Chi Minh Trail before reaching Kham Duc, a mountain town on Ho Chi Minh trail we’ll stop to rest and stay overnight.
Day 5: Kham Duc – Hoi An
Exploring the local market of the mountain town of Kham Duc will help you to learn more about the rural life of the highlanders as well as other ethnic minorities. Leaving Kham Duc for Hoi An after visiting K’tu village to make friends with them and see how they make animal traps, small houses by palm leaves then go to My Son Holy Land to see the ruined Cham towers in which were recognised as world’s cultural heritage and then arrive in Hoi An around 4p.m
